About two hours ago I somehow managed to get myself into a car accident. My car is totaled, but aside from a bruised knee and ego I'm fine. I wasn't even two miles from home when I lost control and found myself in a ditch terrified for my own life. No other cars were involved.
Three Fire Engines, two Sheriff's Units, an Ambulance, a Tow Truck, my father and many, MANY worried people later I'm still okay just very shaken and angry for wrecking the car I grew so damned attached to! Dad showed up about half an hour after it happened. After he showed the Paramedics arrived. One was entirely professional and the other one was blatantly hitting on me while I was a complete mess. No hysterics, just a mess. It was so obvious that my father mentioned it rather casually on the way to the body shop as we followed the tow truck. I don't even know what to make of that little tidbit right now.
I'm still beating myself up for getting into an accident in the first place. Just goes to show that I'm not as good of a driver as I thought I was.

I have yet to call my mother and tell her. She'll probably yell at me about being careless after bombarding me with all sorts of questions as to my health.

When I woke up this morning I was expecting to be looking for a job for most of the afternoon, not wind up in a ditch.
Life is funny that way, I suppose.
